Welcome to Our School
I am very proud to be Head at Clapham and Patching CofE Primary School.
Set in the South Downs National Park and with the capacity for just 56 children, Clapham and Patching is a small school with big aspirations. We strive to ensure that every child has a creative and exciting experience as they grow and develop with us.
As a Church of England school it is important that we provide an education that reflects our core values of 'Community, Integrity, Respect, Resilience and Excellence'. We see our school reflected in the parable of the mustard seed Matthew 13:32
"Though it is the smallest of all seeds, when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
We welcome children of all faiths and none into our unique setting, and at Clapham and Patching no child is invisible.
Our school is an integral part of the local community and we are regularly out and about walking a 'Wild Mile' through the woods, and taking part in Forest School. We are members of the village Horticultural Society and are busy developing our school garden into a haven for bees and butterflies.
As part of the South Downs Education Trust, we work closely with our friends at Worthing High School. This means that the children at Clapham and Patching have access to specialist teachers and frequently visit Worthing High School to share their excellent facilities.
To find out more about us, please call 01903 871214 or email office@claphamandpatching.co.uk to arrange a visit.
We look forward to welcoming you into our amazing little school.
